What types of boats do you offer?

We offer a wide variety of private charter vessels to suit any event or group size:

  • Catamarans – spacious, stable, and great for social groups
  • Motor cruisers – versatile and stylish for all occasions
  • Luxury yachts & superyachts – high-end vessels for upscale events
  • Event boats – perfect for larger parties, weddings, or corporate functions

Where does the boat pick up and drop off?

We’ll arrange your wharf bookings in advance and confirm all pickup and drop-off locations with you.
Popular locations include King Street Wharf, Lavender Bay and Rose Bay—but other options are available across Sydney Harbour.

Note: Some wharves have limited availability or surcharges, which we’ll confirm upon enquiry.

How far in advance should I book?

For peak season (October–March) or weekends, we recommend booking at least 2–3 months ahead.
If you’re planning last-minute, reach out—we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

What hire times are available?

Most vessels offer two main sessions:

  • Afternoon cruises: usually start at 12pm or 12:30pm
  • Evening cruises: typically begin at 5pm or 6pm

Can I bring my own food and drinks?

Yes—many of our vessels allow BYO food and beverages, particularly for groups under 50 guests.
We also offer catering and drinks packages, from casual platters to fully catered menus with waitstaff.

Not sure yet? We can reserve a BYO charter and add catering later. Just keep in mind:

  • Catering and final guest numbers must be confirmed 14 days before your cruise.

I don’t have final guest numbers—should I still book?

Yes! Boats can book out quickly, so we suggest confirming with the minimum number of guests you expect.
You can adjust catering and BYO details up until 14 days prior to your cruise.

What is the deposit?

To secure your charter, a 50% deposit of the hire cost is required (unless otherwise stated).
The balance is due 14 days before your cruise date.

Do I need to pay a security bond?

Yes, a security bond is required for all charters. Depending on the vessel, a credit card pre-authorisation of between $500 and $2,000 will be processed 48 hours prior to your charter. This is not a charge—funds are simply held (frozen) and will automatically be released within 7 days, provided there is no damage, loss, or theft. If any issues are identified, we will contact you on the next business day

What is included in the boat hire?

All private charters include:

  • Exclusive use of the boat
  • A qualified and friendly skipper
  • Larger boats included crew 
  • Fuel for standard Sydney Harbour cruising
  • Standard safety equipment
  • Bathrooms and Galley Kitchen

Additional costs:

  • Wharf fees (variable by location)
  • Food and beverage (optional extras)
  • Wait staff

Can I bring kids on board?

Absolutely! Children of all ages are welcome.
Please note:

  • Kids must be supervised at all times
  • All children count toward the total passenger limit, regardless of age

Let us know if you’re bringing kids so we can recommend the most family-friendly boats.

Can we go swimming?

Yes, many of our boats allow swimming, depending on the vessel and weather conditions.
Let us know in advance and your skipper can anchor at a safe, swimmable spot.

Most of our boats allow swimming in one of the many beautiful bays and beaches with crystal clear water for swimming and paddle boarding. 

  • A variety of water toys are available at additional cost on most boats including Lily Pads, Paddle Boards, Kayaks and water slides.

Can we wear heels?

For your safety, we recommend flat or soft-soled shoes.

  • Black Soles and Stilettos are generally not allowed
  • The luxury boats generally have a no-shoe – they will stow your shoes carefully while you enjoy your cruise.

We’ll let you know the footwear rules for your specific vessel.

How long do we have to board the boat?

Most wharves provide a 15-minute window for boarding and disembarking.
We recommend arriving at the wharf at least 15 minutes before your scheduled cruise time.

What events are suitable for private boat hire?

What if it rains?

Light rain won’t stop your cruise—most boats have sheltered areas.
However, if boating conditions are unsafe, as determined by the skipper on the morning of the charter, we’ll postpone the cruise.
