How come other schools have class room sessions?

Our Learn to Sail courses are one full day out on the water so you get a real feeling for what sailing is all about. If you love sailing and choose to do more, our Competent Crew courses are three full days so you get the most out of learning hands on and being out on the water.

We believe the best experience comes from being hands on sailing the yacht. All teaching is done on board with the instructor up to and including Competent Crew. Who wants to be stuck in a classroom for sailing lessons?

Do you still go sailing in bad weather?

We make decisions to continue to sail based on safety and comfort. Classes will be rescheduled based on excessive rain and wind strength, storm warnings, and other abnormal conditions. We want you to love sailing as much as we do! Rain is not a sole reason for rescheduling or cancelling classes and jackets are provided.

What course do I need to Charter a Bare Boat?

Most bare boat Yacht Charter companies (such as in the Whitsundays) strongly prefer some skippering experience /training. Our Bare Boat Sailing Course will provide you with the skills, confidence and a certitication of competancy to assist your Charter.
