Wharves in Sydney CBD

Address: King Street Wharf, The Promenade, Lime St, NSW 2000

Wharf fees: Fees may apply for pick up and drop off.

Thanks to its central Sydney location and the endless bars, restaurants and amenities nearby, King Street Wharf in Darling Harbour is a popular pick-up and drop-off point for our boat charters. Signs clearly mark the wharf’s nine meeting areas.

Parking

You will not find any on-street parking at King Street Wharf but there is lots of paid parking within walking distance, such as at 1 Shelley Street, Star City Casino and the Sydney Convention Centre.

Looking to grab a meal before or after your boat charter? There is a variety of bars and restaurants to choose from along the King Street Wharf promenade, including the Cargo Bar and Bungalow 8. Darling Harbour View Convenience Store is close by on Erskine St.

Set sail from and return to shore on Pyrmont Bay’s buzzing waterfront. Casino Wharf Pyrmont is tucked away on the western side of Sydney Harbour Bridge. Please note that some boat charters may be unable to pick up or drop off at this Sydney wharf.

Parking

There is plenty of paid parking within walking distance, the nearest being at Interpark Australia on 2 Edward St and the Star Parking Station under the Casino.

The wharf is a short stroll from all kinds of dining and entertainment options to enjoy before or after your boat charter, including the harbourside Flying Fish, Italian restaurant Cucina Porto, the Lyric Theatre and Star City Casino. Coles Pyrmont is around the corner, about a five minute walk away.

The picturesque Pirrama Park lies to the west of the city on Sydney Harbour. Once a base for the water police, this harbourside space is now a beautiful pick up and drop off point for your boat charter.

Parking

As well as being surrounded by metered on-street parking, the wharf is within walking distance of paid parking at Star Casino and the Wilson Parking - Jones Bay Wharf Car Park.

Discover an assortment of restaurants and bars just minutes away, including Elements Bar and Grill Pyrmont, Zebra Lounge, The Goodsline Restaurant and Bar Zini. The Convenience Store Village and Pyrmont Bottleshop are both nearby.

Walsh Bay is a pleasant stroll along the Sydney Harbour Foreshore from Circular Quay. Its many piers each have their own distinct character. Nestled near Barangaroo Point Reserve, Pier 9 features classic architecture with stunning water views. Take it all in as you get ready to set sail from one of the most central Sydney wharfs!

Parking

Choose from plenty of paid off-street parking within walking distance, the nearest being Wilson Parking - Bond One and Wilson Parking - Barangaroo Point. Hickson road offers metered parking for up to 4 hours.

Dining and shopping

The iconic El Phoenician Restaurant, Pier 8 Cafe and Langham Hotel are all closeby for food and drink either before or after your boat charter. An IGA X-press and The Rocks Convenience are both within walking distance.

Wharves in North of Sydney

Address: Lavender Bay Ferry Wharf, Port Jackson, NSW 2060

Lavender Bay Wharf is centrally located on the lower North Shore of Sydney. It is in the heart of Lavender Bay to the west of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, bordered by Milsons Point and McMahons Point. Here, you can enjoy sweeping views of Sydney Harbour before you even hop aboard your boat charter!

  • Bus: 115, 230, 254, 320 (get off at Lavender St and walk through Clark Park)
  • Train: T1 (alight at North Sydney Station)
  • Ferry: F4 or F3 from Circular Quay, Wharf 5, Side A, to McMahons Point Wharf, Side A

Parking

Street parking in Lavender Bay is limited and mostly residential. As there are no parking garages nearby, we suggest taking public transport to this wharf.

Dining and shopping

If you wish to finish your special day out on the water with a fantastic meal, visit the bistro and cocktail bar at Kirribilli Club or Sails Restaurant on McMahons Point, which is around the corner from Lavender Bay Wharf.

Want to stock up on your own snacks and drinks for the boat charter? North Sydney Express and Chambers Cellars at McMahons Point are both near this Sydney wharf.

Address: Mosman Bay Wharf, Avenue Road, Mosman, NSW 2088

Wharf fees: Fees may apply for pick up and drop off.

Mosman Bay Wharf is a sheltered and scenic spot to begin your boat charter - and it is particularly convenient if you are coming from Manly. Be careful not to confuse this pick up and drop off location with the South Mosman Ferry Wharf. The Mosman Bay Wharf is perched at the very end of Avenue Road, looking out across the water to Mosman Marina.

Parking

Parking is limited around this Sydney wharf so we recommend using public transport if possible.

Dining and shopping

While there are no bars or restaurants next to the wharf, the Rowing Club is just on the other side of the bay. There are also all sorts of eateries and bars to visit in the centre of Mosman, and along Military Road before or after your boat charter. The nearest bottle shops are BWS Mosman and 7Eleven Mosman.

Neutral Bay Wharf, Hayes Street is tucked away on the northern side of Sydney Harbour in the leafy waterside suburb of Neutral Bay. A convenient pick up and drop off location for those based in the North Shore, this wharf is close to plenty of public transport links and amenities.

Parking

You will find limited on-street parking on Kurraba road, with more options within a 20-30 minute walk from the wharf.

Dining and shopping

Grab a bite to eat at the nearby Thelma & Louise Cafe before you set sail and recount your day out on the water afterwards at Jaggi’s Indian Eatery or The Oaks. The Vine Press wine shop and Vintage Cellars Neutral Bay are the nearest bottle shops if you plan to bring your own drinks on board.

Manly is nestled in Sydney’s Northern Beaches, and a popular pick up and drop off point for boat charters - especially if you are taking the ferry to and from the city. Start your sailing adventure from the calm waters of this thriving seaside town.

Please note that due to waterways licensing restrictions, only certain boat charters are permitted to operate at this wharf. We kindly ask that you let us know if this is your preferred pick up and drop off point at the time of enquiry.

Parking

There are plenty of places to park in the nearby vicinity. Choose from Wilson Parking at Manly Wharf, the two council car parks a short walk away or street parking.

Dining and shopping

Manly serves up all kinds of eateries to enjoy before or after your cruise, including Manly Wharf Hotel Bar & Restaurant, which is right opposite the area of the wharf for charter boat pick up and drop off.

If you intend to take some snacks or drinks on board, EzyMart Manly and Liquorland Manly Express are both a short stroll from the wharf.

Wharves in West Sydney

Address: Rozelle Bay Public Pontoon, Rozelle Bay, NSW 2039

Wharf fees: Fees may apply for pick up and drop off.

Rozelle Bay Public Pontoon is a pier that rests just two kilometres west of the Sydney CBD. Located between the suburbs of Rozelle and Glebe, it is situated right next to Federal Park and the Annandale Tram Station, a mere five minutes from Darling Harbour. This walk on, walk off marina offers easy access for all boat charter guests.

Parking

Free on-street parking is available for up to two hours within walking distance. There is also a paid parking garage at Tramsheds.

If you’re looking to fuel up before or after your boat charter, the surrounding suburbs have plenty of delicious options, including the food court at Tramsheds, which offers cuisines from around the world. For snacks and drinks, the Supamart Tramsheds and Chamber Cellars Tramsheds are a 10 minute walk away.

Situated beside Ballast Point Park and Brownlee Reserve, Yeend St Pontoon Wharf sits on Mort Bay with views across the harbour to Balmain Wharf.

There is plenty of on-street parking with no time restrictions or fees near this Sydney wharf. Ballast Point Car Park is also within walking distance.

For a meal before or after your boat charter, head to The Cricketers Balmain, The East Village Hotel, The London Hotel, The Royal Oak or Wilhelmina's. Woolworths Balmain, and The Bottle Shop on Curtis road are also under 15 minutes away for any snacks or drinks you wish to bring on board.

Also known as Thames St Ferry Wharf, Balmain Wharf is a popular pick up and drop off location for ferries and boat charters thanks to its sheltered waters and easy accessibility. Situated  north-west of Pyrmont close to Mort Bay Park, there are plenty of restaurants, hotels, and convenient stores within walking distance to enjoy before or after your cruise.

You will find a small car park at Balmain Wharf, as well on-street parking nearby. The closest parking garage is the Watson Lane Carpark.

If you would like to enjoy a meal before or after your cruise, there are a variety of hotels and restaurants to explore along Darling Street in Balmain, just five minutes from this Sydney wharf. You can also stock up on snacks and drinks for your boat charter at BWS Balmain, The Balmain Wine Shop or Shirley's Corner Store.

Birkenhead Point is an excellent place to begin or end your adventure out on Sydney Harbour. Located only six kilometres west of Sydney CBD in the suburb of Drummoyne, it is right under the eastern side of Iron Cove Bridge. This wharf offers great access to the relatively sheltered water.

Birkenhead Point is a hub for all things food and drink, so you can pay a visit to one of the many restaurants or bars in the area before you set sail or after a day out on the water. Coles Express Drummoyne and Liquorland are both a short walk away if you wish to pick up anything before hopping aboard.

Rose Bay Wharf is one of our boat charter guests’ favourite pick up and drop off points, thanks to its convenient public transport links and excellent amenities nearby. Located in Lyne Park, please note that this is a different location to Rose Bay Marina.

Before or after your boat charter, we recommend enjoying a meal at The Catalina Restaurant or The Boathouse Rose Bay. While there are no grocery stores within walking distance, Ritchie's Cafe and Convenience in Double Bay is only a few minutes’ drive away. The nearest bottle shops to this Sydney wharf are Corkscrew Cellars Rose Bay and Merretts Liquor Supply.

Double Bay Wharf is located in the heart of eastern Sydney on the south side of Sydney Harbour, with a wealth of lovely restaurants and bars on its doorstep. Despite its popularity, this wharf does not tend to get too busy and is a convenient place to begin or finish up your Sydney cruise.

The nearest place to park is the large public car park at 1 Cross St just a few minutes away.

Kickstart or continue the celebrations at 18 Footers Bar, Restaurant & Cafe or the Golden Sheaf on New South Head Road. Camperdown Cellars and Ritchie's Cafe & Convenience Store are both great places to pick up some nibbles and drinks for your boat charter.

Yarranabbe Park Wharf is situated on New Beach Road, Darling Point just past the CYCA at Rushcutters Bay. From this foreshore park, you can enjoy a beautiful vista of the yachts in the marina with the city beyond - a view that makes it a particularly popular pick up and drop off location for New Years Eve cruises on Sydney Harbour.

Before or after you board your boat charter, enjoy a meal and drinks on the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia’s (CYCA) stunning waterfront deck. If you would like to purchase any snacks or drinks to take out on the water, Aldi, Gourmet Life grocery store and BWS Edgecliff are all a 15 minute walk away.

Watsons Bay is located at Sydney Harbour’s southern entrance. Right at the top of the South Head peninsula, it is on the ferry line and a popular pick up and drop off point for our boat charters. Set sail on sheltered waters from one of the oldest fishing villages in Australia and enjoy spectacular panoramas of the harbour.

Parking

There is plenty of free on-street parking along Marine Parade, as well as on the neighbouring streets. Green Point Reserve parking and Camp Cove Car Park are both a 17 minute walk away.

The Watsons Bay area is home to plenty of famous Sydney attractions such Doyle’s Restaurant, Watsons Bay Hotel and Vaucluse Yacht Club. Explore these destinations before or after your boat charter.

If you are planning to bring any snacks on board, please note that the nearest supermarkets to this Sydney wharf are in Rose Bay. Vaucluse Cellars is a 15-minute walk from the wharf.
