Every kind of event
Corporate Boat Hire for Every Kind of Event
The harbour suits far more than the end-of-year party. Client entertainment lands differently on the water, where a half-day charter does more for a key relationship than a long lunch ever could. Staff rewards break the pattern of the same city bar, and colleagues who never normally cross paths end up talking on the back deck. Product launches and brand activations get a backdrop no ballroom can match, and conferences, meetings, networking events and award nights feel like an occasion rather than an obligation.
October to December is the peak season for corporate events on the harbour, and the best boats on the high-demand dates book out four or more months ahead, so the sooner you lock in a date the more choice you have over vessel and time. Whatever the occasion, an event coordinator handles the boat, the skipper and crew, the catering and the wharf bookings, and you handle the guest list. For a purely social celebration you can also look at our private function boat hire and birthday and party boat hire.

Team days on the water
Team Building and Staff Days on the Water
A charter is one of the easier ways to get a team out of the office and actually talking. A relaxed cruise with a catering package, or BYO on the smaller vessels, works for most groups, and for teams who want something with a bit more structure we run a Sailing Regatta on Sydney Harbour, where crews are split across yachts and race each other around a short course with the skipper guiding every move. Nobody needs sailing experience, the skipper and crew handle the boat, and the competitive edge does the rest. Tell your event coordinator whether you want a low-key day out or an organised activity, and they will build the day around it.
Choosing your boat
Matching the Boat to Your Group Size
The right vessel comes down to your headcount, your budget and the style of event you want, and our fleet covers everything from an intimate leadership team to a company-wide function of up to six hundred. Smaller groups suit a relaxed catamaran or yacht, with wide, stable decks that give you both sun and shade across a Sydney afternoon. Mid-size teams fit our motor cruisers and function boats, while a large event moves onto one of our bigger function vessels or a luxury charter.
To give you a sense of scale, vessels on our corporate fleet range from Pearl at up to thirty guests, through Escapade and Heaven in the forties, up to Morpheus at ninety-five, Coast at one hundred and twenty-eight and Karisma II at one hundred and fifty, with larger options for functions beyond that. Rather than have you work through the fleet, send us your numbers and your expert event coordinator will shortlist the best fit. You can also browse the full range on our boat charter page.

How you eat & drink
Catering Packages, a Licensed Bar and BYO for Casual Team Days
Most corporate groups hand the food and drinks straight to us, and your event coordinator handles it end to end, so nobody in your office has to organise a thing. Fully catered charters run from a high quality roaming gourmet canape service, prepared by an onboard chef and served by experienced wait staff, through to a full sit-down menu for a formal client dinner. Most of our larger vessels are fully licensed, with bar packages or a consumption bar so you can pay as you go, which works well when your group has a mix of drinkers and non-drinkers. Browse the catering options and we will tailor a package to your event.
For casual team events, BYO is available on selected vessels of up to fifty guests, where you bring your own food and drinks and use the onboard fridges, eskies, ice and crockery, and a limited few of our larger boats, including Bayrunner, Zahara and Royale, also offer BYO.

Formal moments
Speeches, Presentations and a Formal Agenda
Plenty of corporate charters are not purely social. Award nights, client dinners and end-of-year wraps often need a short speech, a toast or a run of thank-yous, and product launches and conferences sometimes want a formal segment built into the day. The more we know about the agenda, the more the day runs itself.
If your event has a running order, tell your coordinator early. Award nights, client dinners and end-of-year wraps often need a short speech, a toast or a run of thank-yous, and product launches and conferences sometimes want a formal segment built into the day.
Your coordinator will match you with a vessel whose layout suits the moment you have in mind, whether that is a quiet indoor space for a sit-down dinner or an open deck for a stand-up address, and plan the timing around your arrival, your food service and the point in the harbour where you want everyone paying attention.
We also partner with a professional AV production team who can cater for all of your presentation needs, so speeches, slides and sound are handled alongside the rest of the day.
Tell Us What Matters Most
Our skippers, crew and event coordinators run corporate charters every week of the year. Tell us your running order and we will plan your boarding time, your vessel layout and your timing around it.
All-inclusive
What Every Corporate Charter Includes
Corporate boat hire with us is genuinely all-inclusive, so there are no surprises on the final invoice. In practice that means one upfront figure that covers the vessel, the crew and the running of the day, with catering and any extras added on based on your selections.
Every charter comes with a fully qualified, NSW Maritime-accredited skipper and a trained crew and wait staff, so nobody in your team needs a boat licence or any experience on the water, and the vessel operates under the commercial certification required for a domestic commercial vessel.
Wharf fees, fuel, safety gear and life jackets are all included in your quote, along with everything needed to get your group on and off the water safely.
End-of-charter cleaning, GST and public liability insurance are all included, so the figure you are quoted is the figure on the invoice.
One Upfront, All-Inclusive Figure
No surprises on the final invoice. The vessel, the crew and the running of the day are all covered in your quote, with catering and any extras added on based on your selections.
Departure locations
Where Your Guests Board
We pick your group up from harbour wharves right across the city, so your guests board close to where they are coming from. Departure points include Circular Quay, King Street Wharf in Darling Harbour, Pyrmont, Rose Bay and Double Bay, through to Mosman Bay, The Spit, Manly and the northern beaches. Your event coordinator will recommend the most convenient pickup for your vessel and your guests, and you can see the full picture on our Sydney wharf guide.
What Happens if the Weather Turns
Sydney weather rarely stops a harbour charter, and a light shower usually makes no difference to the day. If conditions are genuinely unsafe on your date, we do not run the charter and put you at risk. Your booking is rescheduled to a new date, so you never lose your event for a call the harbour made for you. Your coordinator keeps an eye on the forecast in the lead-up and talks you through the options well before the event.
Transparent pricing
What Corporate Boat Hire Costs
Charters are priced by the hour and by the vessel, so the figure scales with the event you want. Private charters start from around $232 per hour on our smaller yachts, with catamarans, motor cruisers and larger function boats priced above that according to size and capacity, up into the low thousands per hour for the biggest luxury vessels. Catering, a beverage package or a licensed bar are added to the charter cost based on your selections, and some larger function vessels carry a minimum number of guests. Because the right combination depends on your group size, your event and your date, the quickest way to plan is to send us your details for a tailored quote with everything itemised.

As early as you can. October to December is the peak season for corporate events, so we recommend booking four or more months in advance to secure the best boats on the high-demand dates. For off-peak dates from May to August there is more availability for last-minute bookings, and you may find some good deals on offer on selected vessels. Your catering choice and final guest numbers are confirmed closer to the day, and the sooner your date is set the more choice you have over vessel, time and catering.
